Airstar Bank Partners with The University of Hong Kong to Hold Joint University Case Competition
Five Students Awarded Internships

The case competition theme was “Crafting a Profitable Future”. The case content was prepared by both the Hong Kong Joint University Case Competition organizers, HKU Business School and a student-run organization, HKU International Case Society, and Airstar Bank. Participants were given 48 hours to dive deep into the case and get prepared to present their solutions to a panel of judges at the HKU campus in two rounds, the Division Round and Grand Final Round.
The HKU-Airstar Bank Joint University Case Competition 2024 aims to facilitate mutual learning, networking, and a constant exchange of ideas among like-minded individuals. Students who participated in the competition are expected to strengthen their problem solving, analytical and presentation techniques. After the competition, CFO Ting Jiang of Airstar Bank said, “All the ideas presented today mark a bright future for our business, and we need these innovations.” CRO Albert Koo also said, “We can feel the passion, energy, and commitment from the students. I hope they have learned a lot in the case competition and are prepared to become future business leaders..”
Experienced professionals and senior executives from various industries, including Ms. Christina Wong, Managing Director, Strategy & Consulting, Greater China, Mr. Teddy Liu, Member of Council, Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Mr. Vincent Tam, Chief Advisor, Relearn Education Limited in the Grand Final judging panel, all praised the exceptional presentation skills of the finalist teams. They also offered valuable feedback and recommendations to help enhance students' soft skills for future improvement.
As a prelude to the competition, Mr. Eddie Rong, Head of Innovation and Payment, Airstar Bank delivered a talk in HKU, sharing insights into the business of Airstar Bank and the fintech industry.
