Money Safe is an anti-fraud measure introduced by Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Customers are able to activate Money Safe via Airstar Bank Mobile App to lock the funds in need2. The locked funds will not be used for any transactions until you visit our Bank office to successfully unlock the funds in person3.

Money Safe is the latest anti-fraud measure introduced by Hong Kong Monetary Authority, preventing loss due to fraud and scams.
Customers are allowed to lock a portion or all of funds deposited in the account. Once locked, they will not be used for any fund outflows, including but not limited to fund transfer, remittance, bank card transactions, purchase of investment products, loan repayment, scheduled transfer, direct debit authorization or payment of bank fees or charges. Customers are required to make an appointment via Airstar Bank Mobile App to visit our Bank office for offline unlock procedure, the funds will be released until the specified unlocked procedure is completed successfully.

1.Customers need to log in Airstar Bank Mobile App, choose "Money Safe", click "Schedule to Withdraw", input the amount of Savings or select Time Deposit to unlock. Then select the date and confirm the information of appointment. Completing the Face Recognition to successfully make an appointment to unlock offline.
2.Customers must visit our Bank office in person during the working hours of the designated date to complete unlock procedure, the funds will be unlocked within three working days after identity verification.

1. This is the bank's fastest record for reference only. Actual time will differ depending on individual circumstances.
2. Before you lock the funds, please ensure that there are sufficient immediately available funds in your accounts to meet your daily and other ad hoc needs.
