What is Payment Connect?
- "Payment Connect" is a service that enables you to transfer funds directly to a payee in Mainland via FPS, using their Mainland mobile phone number or bank card number. This is made possible through the interconnection faster payment systems of Mainland and Hong Kong. The service supports transfers between both same-name and non-same-name accounts. Mainland payers can also transfer funds to your receiving account in Hong Kong through "Payment Connect".
Who can use Payment Connect to transfer money to Mainland?
- Hong Kong Identity Card holders can transfer funds to personal accounts in Mainland through the Payment Connect.
What is the limit of Payment Connect?
- Hong Kong customers use Payment Connect to remit to Mainland Bank accounts, with a daily maximum limit of HKD 10,000 and an annual maximum limit of HKD 200,000.
