  • There is an annual limit of CNY800,000 per Recipient who holds a Second-Generation National ID card, whereas the annual limit is CNY300,000 per Recipient for Hong Kong or Macau residents with a Mainland Travel Permit. The abovementioned annual limit includes a CNY300,000 limit if the fund is received into Weixin Wallet Balance. The transaction limit on the Outward Remittance amount is CNY50,000 per transaction. Who can I remit money to?
  • Remittances can be made to registered Weixin Pay users who use the "Chinese Mainland Second Generation Resident Identity Card" or "Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents" to pass Weixin Pay real-name authentication, and are linked to a bank card in the PRC or have a Weixin Wallet account.
Can I cancel/ modify the instruction after filling out the incorrect recipient name or recipient phone number?
  • Incorrect recipient name and phone number will cause the remittance to fail, and the intended recipient will not be able to collect the funds from this failed transaction. Currently, we do not supported cancellation of an accepted transaction, the funds will only be refunded via the original remittance route (i.e. through WeRemit back to the remitter's Airstar Bank account) normally after 48 hours pursuant to WeRemit receiving remittance instructions from Airstar Bank.
